Poshy Peep is a lifestyle blog dedicated to helping you live your best (Poshy) life for less. I look for ways to save money wherever possible, while still enjoying beautiful things. I share my ideas, experience, and ways that I live well on a tight budget. I find joy in all things DIY (from home décor to home improvements), thrifting/ finding deals, repurposing items, and home tips and tricks.
It’s not a shock that I like more expensive things, but sadly they usually have a high price tag attached! To ensure that my love of all things beautiful doesn’t break the bank I have learned creative ways to save and stretch every dollar. I enjoy the challenge of doing things myself wherever possible, learning new skills, and finding tricks to spend less. Poshy Peep is dedicated to sharing the lessons I have learned along my thrifty lifestyle journey in hopes that it can inspire and help others live their best thrifty but “Poshy” lives.
How Poshy Peep Came to Be….
As a busy mom, I have a hectic life. In addition to my role as a mom I realized that I love to have a project…something that I work on for personal enjoyment and “me time”. These projects not only save our family money but bring me happiness. I make each dollar stretch and am thrifty to accomplish my goals.
My thrifty ways have expanded to all areas of our life. Reducing our expenditures, reducing our cost of goods (wants and needs), improving our house on a budget, and saving for our future. I love the look of surprise when I tell someone a piece of our furniture was FREE (I just painted it) or that my coffee table cost $15, the jacket I am wearing cost $6, or that lamp was free- I just upcycled it…
I wish I could take credit for being a “supermom” or being naturally “handy” but I am not. If I can do it, anyone can. It just takes time and determination. I hope that you get inspired to try new things and think about ways you can save. Although my life may look “Posh”, I do it all on a tight budget. Through the encouragement of others, I decided to share my thrifty ways.
None of this would be possible without the love and support of my friends and family. To every one of you, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my life one of joy, laughs, and encouragement. A special thank you to my family; their constant encouragement, bravery, friendship, and love inspires me every day.
